“He begins each notebook the same way, with a detailed drawing of a tree inscribed with black ink inside the front cover. From there the black branches stretch onto the subsequent pages, tying together lines that form letters and symbols, each page almost completely covered in ink. All of it, runes and words and glyphs, twisted together and grounded to the initial tree. There is a forest of such trees, carefully filed on his bookshelves.”

As you can tell, I have spent this tremendous day drawing. With a pot of Nutella and an endless amount of tea to keep me company.

I mean, what more could you even wish for!

_{(I don't want to go into details but there was a medical reason behind that. I do have a social life on most days)}

So yes, this is a second drawing from the Night Circus, in which I used my own hand, notebook, teacup, pocket watch and ink bottle as a reference. Also, I willingly drew this on Arches paper with a Derwent watercolor pencil. It feels like I have betrayed everything I stand for.

I'm planning on doing something similar to this, except adding the ruins, alchemical symbols, etc. I was browsing DeviantArt to see if anyone had done something similar, and though our ideas are very different, I admire your artistic ability and I have to the say that tree is very beautiful...whimsical in the antique fashion

I also love the notebook and how realistic it looks! Bravo and I hope to see more "Night Circus" work xD
